Faried's defense deserves criticism, but he gives an opposing team such a different look at that position that he's an overall plus, in my opinion. He's one of those guys who's energy pumps up everyone else on the court. We'll be seeing more of him, for sure.
he's the big man equivalent of Gerald Green. they're specialists. you can't score? throw in Gerald and let him shoot. no energy? throw in faried and let him flail around. however, outside of their specialties, they have limitations elsewhere. faried is not great at team defense, but he's better at just guarding his man. I guarantee he doesn't play against the warriors next round.

Plus Faried is walking double double as a back up player. Need his energy, rebounds and easy offense. Especially because Clint is still recovering from some respiratory infection and not 100%. And PJ is old, let's not wear him out before GSW.
How can you not play one of your best bench players and a guy who brings tremendous energy that can go on a roll. Faried has had some of his best games vs warriors and matches up against draymond very well. Getting rivers back and playing Faried in my opinion will be a huge boost and a deciding factor Without these guys were last years team
Was he injured or something? Why wasn't he getting minutes? He's at least a bigger body that can get those defensive rebounds over draymon/iggy. If this continues, he won't be resigning with us next year.
Dantoni should've given the Capela-Faried pairing a chance. It's game 1, you still have some margin for error if it doesn't go well but ******* pringles didn't want to at least give it a shot despite the results in the regular season. On top of that Clint was clearly not playing well, Faried should've got SOME burn. Instead, we get Nene switched onto Curry for a crucial last second possession. Dantoni has to own this nonsense
