I like the idea of Sampson just because he has been the coach I've seen Harden respect the most. From my screen, have no insiders. Its what I think. But have not seen that much of UH and Im not sure he would be an upgrade of what we have + I understand Fertita is also on the board at UH. Dont see it happening
LOL. Let's put this knee jerk reaction into perspective - Before D'Antoni came along, the Rockets only made it out of the first round 2X in 20 YEARS!!! - He's done that AND more since he's been here - D"Antoni's record is 173-73 so far with the Rox; A 70% WINNING PERCENTAGE That's OUTSTANDING for ANY coach in the league - He turned James into a Superstar and MVP - His system helped the Rockets set franchise AND league records - Led our team to the BEST RECORD IN THE NBA last year (yes, even better than GSW) (He wasn't responsible for the Melo experiment and terrible start this year) - Named Coach of the Year last year - ONLY TEAM in the NBA to take a playoff lead against GSW during Durant era (3-2 last year before CP went down) - ONLY TEAM in the NBA to take GSW to 7 games during Durant era - ONLY TEAM in NBA to tie series with GSW during Durant era (this year) - Arguably had G1 rigged by referees this year to sabotage our start 1) It's interesting enough to suggest he be fired for his SUCCESS (the 2nd most effective coach in the last 3 years in terms of record) 2) Your solution is to replace him with a coach with 0, that's ZERO NBA Head Coaching experience?
I’m fine with Mike, but this offense is too predictable and needs to evolve. We need guys cutting to the hoop when off the ball. There’s easy layups to be had while the defense’s attention is locked on James. That same off ball movement can also open a good look at a 3. Maybe it will free Clint for an easy dunk. He can still keep the 3 and layup philosophy, just stop being so predictable with it. Player movement can be a good thing, Pringle’s.
Put some ball movement and motion in the offense and stop all iso all the time and leave CKS the hell alone.
