Im not going to panic until I see this team struggle like this with Harden in the lineup for multiple games. I didn't think we would be this bad without him though. There is no way we look like this just from losing Ariza.
It's losing Ariza and Luc, replacing them with Ennis(who's barely played) and Melo(who can't play defense), and losing Bzdelik. There are other factors obviously like Harden's hamstring injury, but unless Morey comes up with a quality reliable starting 3 who can at minimum hit open 3's and defend the other team's best perimeter player, the Rockets are gonna continue to struggle. And even then it may not matter. CP3 does not look good so far, Gordon has been a disaster(although he may be dealt soon for all we know), and with each game, it really does look like Bzdelik was THE critical piece of that coaching staff.
I don't think it's a personnel issue. The attitude, especially amongst CP & Harden has been careless. Capela too. They're basically going through the motions not caring about winning or losing
I agree with a lot of what you said but I still think we will get it together. One thing that hurts for sure is we are already out of the running for that number 1 seed. If we can somehow land Butler I think we have a real shot. It just depends on what we give up and if he would still act like he is in Houston.
