Would probably be available around our draft pick long SF hard worker. I haven't been able to watch and SDSU games anyone seen him play? I have only been able to look at stat sheets ha but he looks good on them. From what I read it said he's undisciplined on D sometimes risking too much, reminds me of Ariza.

he's ok. From the games i saw, he gets most points from offensive rebounds. His outside shot is very inconsistent, but he is a great athlete and can play good defense.

Would you say he'd be an upgrade from Chase?

I say Yes, but they comparison on NBA Draft is quite close...Chase Budinger vs Kawhi Leonard
I wonder how did Bud end up in the 2nd Round:confused:

Funny you mentioned Leonard. Living here in Vegas, we get to see SDSU a little more than the rest of the country...and every time I see him play, I always think that I'd love to see him on the Rockets. He's very athletic and fun to watch. Not sure if he could be trained to be more discipline. Would like him on the team though.

jaz watched him play vs. Kemba and company...his post moves are Melo-like..dunno if he has 3pt shooting..seems attainable at our spot.

I have been watching Kawhi play for 2 years now. My brother is a huge SDSU fan so I go with him to the games sometimes. We were pretty excited last year when we thought SDSU might finally have a legit NBA player. I was excited to see he would be a top 15 pick on NBA draft and was also amused when they predicted he might land around the Rockets pick.

Anyways my opinion of Kawhi. I think he might struggle in the NBA because he is a tweener. He's not huge but doesn't have the handles of a small forward. He plays at the perimeter like a shooting guard sometimes but like someone else mentioned his outside shot is a bit inconsistent. It's because of his athletic ability/advantage he plays like a PF sometimes at the college level. However he wont be able to do that against players bigger and just as athletic as him at the NBA level. Which is why I think he might struggle at first in the NBA. His upside I think is a borderline allstar type player but realistically he might end up like a Carl Landry type player.

I don't think he' be a bad pickup from what I've seen from him. Just needs to work on his perimeter shooting game. Guys getting Gerald Wallace comparisons but we'll see once he gets into the league. Maybe as a rocket but idk.

Another mediocre baller. Numbers not good enough against inferior competition in the NCAA. Just another player.

This guy has a ton of potential. Needs to really work on his shot. But he has superb defensive potential and is very young. Interesting. Wouldn't mind seeing the Rox draft him, he could develop into a nice small forward easily. Not a star though.

Have seen about 30 of his games... his upside is Shawn Marion. He does have athletic talent, and appears to love the game, but he is a risk for sure...

This guy really seems like the type of guy Morey would draft. His best skill is his rebounding, which is an underrated skill that translates best out of all stats from college to the pros. He's being projected to go in the late lottery. He's a good defender at the 3, which we don't currently have and complements Bud well. He's a good passer. He's a good character guy.

nbadraft.net is pretty gargabe mock-wise, they usually pretty accurate about 2 weeks before the draft, but right now they get nothing right.

Biyombo at 22, that says everything.

Surprised with espn, how the hell is Kawhi Leonard at 4?

Not anymore. Since his workouts started, many draft "experts" have moved Leonard up to the 5-10 range. That's where I think he'll be drafted. But if he fell to #14, I'd jump all over him. Heck, I'd be willing to trade up a few spots to get him. I think he might be one of the most likely mid- to late lottery picks to actually become a good NBA player.

He reminds me of Shawn Marion, whose game I've always admired. I've wanted the Rockets to get a guy like Marion for quite some time; and I think THIS Rockets team could use that type of guy now more than ever.

Doubt he lasts 'till the 14th, but if he does we should definitely go after him. Great athlete with length and from what I've heard he's a very hard-worker. Imo, an upgrade over Bud...

I doubt he'll be there at 14 also. But I'd sure wouldn't mind trading up for him. Just like at the trade deadline everyone should be available. But hopefully not Patterson.
