Nah. He didn’t asked for Paul to fall apart overnight and for Capela to be a no show. He also didn’t ask for Ryan “Brick” Anderson or Trevor “0-12” Ariza

he knew very well what he was getting himself into when he wanted cp3 to come to houston. now capela on the other hand, who the hell knows what happened to him. ryno's no longer here. i bet he would of loved ariza back this past year

This playoffs shows the value of stretch 4s and 5s. The Rockets don’t have a stretch 5 and they only have one 4 who D’ Antoni refuses to play.

Oh well. Like I said. The trade request or the “won’t sign an extension” is coming next. Brace yourselves for it. We shot our wad in 2018 and came up short. Barring some miracle, we are DONE.

by the time that happens harden will be in the upper 30s. wouldn't really matter. they catered to him ever since hes been here. if he does any of that so be it. his time has to come to an end one way or another

The Anderson signing doomed this era. We knew the CP3 and Capela extensions were coming. We got a great deal on Gordon but paid Anderson like a star and it cost us.

Sure he was overpaid but the rockets were looking for a true stretch 4 for years and we saw what it immediately did to open up everything for harden. Those steps don’t get skipped in building what the rockets have become. I sure as hell was sick of guys cramming the paint bc they didn’t have to guard the likes of jones, smith, Dmo out there

Anderson was the right piece but for the wrong price. That price point cost us.

What did he cost. Not like he kept anyone big from coming here. Don’t let the pick of the free agents quote fool you

    Cost us what exactly?

Gordon signed at a discount cause his buddy Ryno came.

    You're being overly dramatic.

Huh, who has been asking for that for a few years, DMo anyone? Let’s hope Hartenstein can fill the bill.

The Raptors played a SIGNIFICANTLY different Warriors team than the Rockets. The ****ing logic that it takes to dismiss that is unbelievable. I have to stay out of the GARM.

Yea the GARM is not what it used to be. There are way too many cringe worthy post these days. Saying Kawhit is better than Harden leaves me SMDH.

So In a close out game Kawhi starts off he game bricking a 3 and having Lowry go off for 11 points to set the tone. The game proceeds to see Klay leave and Kawhi have the help of his entire team. He had 5 guys score above 15 with 2 off the bench. He shot 2 % from 3 and had a 3:2 assist to tov ratio. The big plays at the end were from FVV. Siakam had 20+ on 50%. Honestly ask yourself if harden had that help this year. You can argue the system we run isn’t conducive to lifting everyone. But it’s the fact that we only have 5 guys who can play against a fully loaded GsW. Give them 2 more pieces that can play minutes and we’re holding that trophy especially if we played a team as depleted as the warriors were. For reference the rotation used for 5.5 games was

    Durant/looney
    Dray
    Iggy
    Klay
    Curry

    That was whittled to

    Injured looney/hobbled boogie
    Dray/11 Mins of Durant
    Injured iggy
    Hamstring pull Klay/McKinnie
    Curry/cook

And with that raptors just squeaked by. Asterisk championship

Kawhi is an incredible player. He has also been very fortunate to be on great teams his whole career. His teams always win a **** ton of games despite him sitting out 20+ games every season.

Slipped in the draft and went to a 61 win Spurs team. A dynasty with a GOAT Coach to learn from.

Forced a trade and wound up on a very good 59 win Raptors team.

Yep, basically everything every coach taught you about basket is not James Harden. He takes the hardest contested step back threes. I mean teams literally started defending behind him. First fundamental of basketball stay between your man and basket...

The man said step back 3 was so historically efficient that teams developed new schemes to give him an open lane lol. It semi worked too with help defenders. An adjustment I’d make for that in future cases would be to have harden at left wing with Capela at left box. Move everyone to weak side. If they play behind harden he can drive and dump to Capela with no weak side defender to rotate anymore.
