Except people only say this in retrospect.

The absolute consensus before the playoffs was that the rockets were perfectly built to beat the warriors and in fact that no one else was even trying

So if Lowry made that 3, and the Raptors win, then Kawhi is the hero, and the Raptors beat the Warriors in 5.

So wins, losses, and narratives are dependent on supporting cast?

    What do you think?

I can tell you that I think neither Curry nor kawhi went ghost. They both looked like superstars

Man, I cant speak for everyone else but for me, after the trade deadline, i kinda knew we didnt have enough to compete, granted I thought we needed ALOT more but as it turns out....we only needed like one or two pieces.

Kawhi was ghost 90% of the game and was ghost in winning time.

2 superstars can’t be great on opposite teams in the same game according to this site.

Kawhi did absolutely NOTHING in the final 3 minutes. 0/2fg, 0pts, 0 rebounds, 0 assists

This. Kawhis crap game and terrible last 4 minutes are forgotten. Hell he probably is praised for drawing the defense and kicking it around for a better shot.

Too many clutchfaners are results over process.

I think we needed ariza. We never replaced him. It didn't help we sent House back down to the D league.

They were sending a hard double.

I think Curry is better than kawhi, and I don't think kawhi was that good tonight, but he didn't go ghost or quit.

just like kawhi going 5/14 in game 1 was forgotten, but he had Siakam drop 32 points on 82% shooting to carry him to a win.

So supporting cast shows up = Kawhi wins

Supporting cast don’t show up = Kawhi loses

    Crazy how that works.

I think theres truth to that.

But you know kawhi isn't slowly walking the ball up, refusing to move, turning over a ton and making it harder on teammates

And Curry was laying bricks until he hit the game tying three. It was Klay and Green that stopped the Kawhi onslaught.

He slowly walked the ball up, iso’d, and passed out of the last shot tonight for the most important possession of the game. And also had 5 turnovers tonight.

Luckily he got carried to 1 win and had the luxury to playing the warriors without Durant AND Klay AND Looney so it didn’t hurt them too much.

Yep not his best game. Normal people blame him and not make excuses about his supporting cast.

Funny how if Chris Paul and Clint Capela played better and the Rockets won, the narrative around Harden would be completely different.

“James Harden averages 35 ppg to beat the Golden State Warriors!”

    “Killer Instinct!”

    “What a Leader!”

    1) lol what shreds your credibility is suggesting GSW isnt the perennial favorite if they are all healthy to play

    2) If KD tore his achilles then Raps win so you really have nothing to talk about.

    3) Raps have more talent than GSW? Lol! GSW has 5 all stars 6 with Iggy but Raps have more talent top to bottom lol now that statement's a loss of credibility

    4) If you're not bitter then why are you saying Kawhi should be ashamed losing to GSW? In what realm of possibility Kawhis team with 4 total all stars (Gasol, Siakam, Kawhi, Lowry ) losing to a team with 6 total allstars is supposed to be shameful?

If Kawhi should be ashamed then Harden should retire for losing to GSW in 6.
