pretty good but no competition, as he's only in only 9th grade. His test is gonna be how he fill's out his frame + does against players his size and at his level. He should be doing everything he can to get stronger and quicker, athleticism would totally take his game to a higher level especially since he a decent shot to back it up.

He moves and jumps like Andrew Bynum. He just needs to fill out and get more physical.

i'm surprised he spent so much time outside. If i'm coaching a 6'10 kid in the 9th grade, his butt better not be drifting too far away from the block.

It's just amazing that the art of the low post moves has fallen by the wayside.

He needs to get his butt in the post.

Tends to hook his defender a lot when he drives. DEFINITELY needs to add to his vertical. He could benefit a lot in the weight room. VERY bright future.

That kid get minutes with Bobcats or Hornets, right now.

Hell, he could get minutes with the Rockets, if you ask me.

Lol. This dude is more filled out than over half the college freshman over 6'9" coming out and people still screaming he needs to hit the weight room. Something tells me we don't have a lot of personal trainers or athletic trainers running through these boards....

He is 14/15 years old, almost 7 ****ing feet tall, and somehow isn't a rail despite growing that quickly....he doesn't need to do **** but keep eating and playing basketball. His body looks fine if not remarkably mature for the incredible height at his age....

BTW, I love the fact the coach isn't just dumping his ass inside and feeding him the ball. He is actually building real NBA skills out there on the wing, as long as he has the athleticism to play out there and not be a liability, go for it. A college or AAU coach can teach him the post when it comes time that kids catch up. You hear about kids learning to play the post as they get older....it doesn't work the other way around. No one has a dominant post game and then all of a sudden learns to play D and handle the ball out of the wing....

    Use your brain.

BTW for him to be able to jump at all, being 14/15 and that tall is remarkable....I guarantee he is still getting used to how to time his body mechanics for jumping with all that extra body and motion now, not to mention the sudden added weight.

That's why you don't see him running around jacking up shots right now and is shooting a set shot, there are too many moving parts right now for him to have that completely under control I'd imagine....unless he has been 6'10" for a couple of years now, which is highly unlikely.

He doesn't need to do one damn thing but play as much basketball as he can and keep doing what he is doing. He has a great shot and is super-coordinated for being that age in that body.

it's a highlight vid...there are freaks of nature like this all around the country...find me someone of normal size with the handles, quickness, and agility of an NBA caliber player before I shed an ounce of attention to these prospects. You can automatically tell even from a highlight video who can make it to the NBA. Look at Lebron's tape, Kobe's tape, hell even Lin's tape. They've all demonstrated qualities of an NBA player...players who outmatch their competition by size in a high school platform are vast throughout the nation.

He's got alot of potential, and it's not because he's tall. He's very coordinated, and skilled with the basketball, while he could top out at 7 feet or more.

There is now way in hell "not doing ***** but keep eating and playing basketball" would benefit him more than getting in better shape. when he goes up against someone his size guess what? the only thing thats gonna be effective is his shot. He needs more strength to bang people out of his way down low, enough vert to throw down with ease and to be quick enough to get by his defenders when they come out to defend his shot, same things can be stressed on defense. Don't forget about cardio either. That will be his biggest challenge if he wants to make it big, not to just chill and wait until he gets older. He only has 4 years until he's in college nows not the time for him to sit back, now he needs to turn it on and work his ass off. When he gets in collage his coaches will make sure they develop his post game plus all round game but they will not build his body and work ethic, which is again why now would be ideal for him to get in better shape.
