Everybody saw it. Malone gets NO technical foul. Kenny Smith calls him dirty. Is there a conspiracy?

All you had to see was the blood all over Joe Kleine's face. Absolutely Karl Malone is a dirty player. Kenny Smith called him "malicious" and he was right on.

I hate Malone. I sure as hell hope that the NBA Powers-That-Be see that he is surely not worthy of a second MVP.

Malone should have been given a rather large holiday/suspension, when he took out Longley's knee last week, then maybe he might learn, that was one of the dirtiest things I have seen on a bball court.

Since Malone has been on WCW... wrestling has rubbed off him just a weeeeeeeee bit too much.

The blood on WCW is fake, though...

I think Karl's next invite will be one of those "Ultimate Fighting" matches.

But he'll wuss out because he's fake, join the WCW again, and schedule another bout with Rodmanilla or whatever they call him.

Karl's new wrestling name will be "Flopberg"

Actually, if Malone tried one of the UFCs, he would see Royce Gracy (sp?) and wonder to himself, "Is this really the best they have to offer?!!?" Royce would the proceed to break every major bone in his body.

I was shocked when I heard that Kleine needed 30 stitches and a plastic surgeon after that elbow. It didn't look that bad. When I heard that, I told my wife that Kleine should have cold cocked Malone instead of that weak little push he gave him. I would have taken any suspension and fine if I had been laid open like that. It doesn't appear that the league is going to do anything substantive about it, so the players are going to have to do it themselves.

Can't help but laugh at Stockton's comments on Malone's 'tactics' in ESPN's article:

"He's the epitome of the Utah Jazz"

...sorry, didnt see this exact same post in the other thread [IMG]

When I saw the replays of Malone giving Kleine the elbow all I could think of was how much I would LOVE to see someone do that to Malone.

This isn't the first time, remeber last season when he knocked out David Robinson with an elbow to the face?! This sort of behavior will not be tolerated!

Could whomever posted that picture of Malone kicking Tim Duncan in the chest please send it to the Jazz newsgroup or tell me where to find it?

It's incontrovertible proof of Malone's ignoble game...

I can't believe I'm doing this, and if I never post again, it's because I shot myself out of guilt for doing this, but, I don't think this one was intentional. It really looked like the face did get in the way. Most of the time, Malone sticks the elbow out and moves it. This time, he went up normal with his elbow out, but it didn't look like he aimed it. I don't agree with him going up like that, but, unlike the Robinson incident last year, I don't think he meant to hit Kleine.

That was like kissing the Devil himself. I should keep thoughts to myself!

To be honest R95, I don't think either the Kleine incident or the elbow to Robinson were _purely_ intentional. I think the league did the perfect thing last year by saying even if it wasn't intentional, a player must be held respnonsible for using his elbows like that.

That's just it. He _always_ uses his elbows far higher than necessary when going up for shots and rebounds and clearing space in the post. It's how he plays. Just like he says in his own defense, he's always played like that. Every now and then someone is going to catch the wrong end of that huge arm, and although he may not be planning it, he knows it might and certainly doesn't care if it does. He considers it part of the game. Just like Kenny said, he always gives you a good bump and elbow on picks, always plays rough.

I actually don't think that before these major incidents occur, Malone is plotting out how to hurt someone. He just plays the nasty way he always plays, and every 20 or 40 games someone gets hurt by it. He doesn't plan the occasional malicious nose-breaker. He just plays dirty every minute he's on the court.
