    I am paraphrasing, but basically says he'd rather have a 33 game win streak over an NBA championship.

    Thoughts?

    I think he was just trying to say that the 33 game winning streak was harder to do, and was saying, anybody can win a championship since it happens every year, but having the longest winning streak in NBA history is very memorable.

    Winning 33 in a row is more likely to be remembered than a championship in a standard year.

    He'd rather have the win streak over an NBA championship there is no way to flip it. I understand it it might be a more challenging achievement but so are certain records that are broken that doesn't mean they would rather have the record than a frickin Championship.

    So I guess the Patriots are ecstatic bout going 16-0 more so than winning the superbowl because going undefeated in the regular season is a more challenging achievement than superbowl. I mean c'mon guys every season a team wins the superbowl.

    Obviously, he thinks winning a trophy isn't everything. JVG is a guy who cares more about approach and the process of competing, so I get his perspective. And lets face it, a 33-game win streak is a far more impressive feat than winning a championship, trophy or not.

    Who cares about which one fans remember more? The objective in sports is to win CHAMPIONSHIPS, not go on win streaks during the regular season.
