Why TF would the ref even need to walk over the dude? Injured or not, there's no reason he'd need to step over someone lying on the ground...for any reason. What, he couldn't muster the strength to take that extra step to walk around? Such an ahole.

Good on that Blazer who went over to comfort Nurkic while everyone else was walking away horrified.

Best wishes to him in a speedy recovery. If a worst case scenario is he doesn’t play basketball but returns to a high quality of life with no leg pain then I hope he realizes that’s ok.

That crack was horrible. I hope he will recover to play at a decent level. Prayers for his health.

I understand the injury is gruesome. I understand it's hard to look at it. Somebody be a grown man and ****ing kneel down and grab that man's hand and console him. Instead every NBA player acts like they always do like they are watching a scary movie and eating popcorn and give the pop reaction when the scary moment happens. Poor guy not one grown man within 10 feet of him after the injury. Disgraceful.

I think it was Rodney hood that came over to stand next to him after the injury. Dudley tried to stop him but he went to Nurkic.

They are basketball players, not marines.

I was at the game and you could hear the snap from where I was sitting at about 10 row up in between both benches. The dude was playing great, the play before that I thought Damian was hurt, he got kicked in the knee during a fly by and landed strange....

On the other hand, they have probably been told to not gather around someone injured like that to avoid more incidents (like thay ref).

When you're in pain you move around sometimes and imagine having 10 people around you.

Tough to watch. You hate to see something like that happen to anyone. You can't imagine the pain (and don't want to try), and he won't be able to get around for a while, much less play. The whole "will I play again and how well?" is bad enough, but the rehab / no-normal-life is "ugh, f***!" raised to the tenth power.

I didn't turn on the sound, and I won't. Too scary. And watching once is enough. I watched the Livingston injury once and never wanted to view it again.

I kind of feel for Portland fans. They have been a good team for so long, but seem always get into some bad luck.

And this is not a battlefield and Nurkic did not lose an arm or have his intestines spilling out onto the court so need need to be one. He suffered a broken leg playing basketball. It happens. They should all act accordingly and not carry on like a bunch of Jackasses.

Good for the one teammate that did what grown men should do there.
