Oftentimes people that live charmed lives, work very hard to get there.

I agree with you wholeheartedly...I apologize if my post seemed to imply otherwise.

Great stuff. I still cannot get enough of this ride. You just cannot get much more storybook than what we have all experienced.

Most people in life work really hard.

Not all. Plenty of bums out there. There's like 8 billion people in the world.

Most times, the most charmed lives stem from things unearned. Athletes are the biggest example.

You don't think athletes work really hard?

They work hard and physically sacrifice more than most people.

The only comparable real world careers are ones where getting ill, injured, or killed is no surprise.

Some people can outrun everyone since early-age, some are average, some don't survive early-age.

Athletics is more of a meritocracy than a lot of areas of life.

And if they don't cultivate that ability, spend thousands and thousands of hours training and practicing and studying, they're just some guy with a good arm.

There are athletes that have gotten by on natural ability, but most players have to work very hard to stay in pro sports.

Yep...and a lot of them are born athletically inclined with really good genes, but they generally don't amount to anything without hard work and dedication.

I agree just saying it’s a lot easier if you’re naturally blessed as well.
