Let Harden be the facilitator while WB attacks.

I love it. It weakens both teams. Trail Blazers increase the gap between both...lol

I like the trade, but I'm worried about our defense. CP3 was declining rapidly and that was painfully obvious. Westbrook will be more productive, but I just don't know how this all fits together. If Westbrook didn't have the worst shooting year in the history of shooting then I'd feel a lot better.

rus can takeover a game. Paul couldn't do it anymore. for $38M I think that should be a requirement.

    we got better.

rus fits our iso system. he's not the shooter Paul is but he can get to the rim and the line better than Paul. so he's 2/3s better at moreyball than CP3 at this stage of their careers. not to mention he will play about 10 more games this year.

James Harden is essentially a thiccer and shorter Paul George 2.0 but with lesser Defense.

The assist rate will be amazing though.

    I like the trade.

I believe Westbrook in the Rockets system will be a more efficient player than he was in OKC. In fact I've always believed that aside from their ability to shoot threes (which is admittedly a huge factor), Westbrook and Harden are very similar offensive players.

In OKC, even with PG, the defense Westbrook faced was always collapsed, clogging the paint. This in turn forced him into tough layups and (partly/mostly due to his own fault) tough long/midrange pullups. The Rockets system the past few years have seen, wide open spacing for Harden and CP3.

With the Rockets, Westbrook will have a wide open paint to drive to the basket, since unlike OKC's lack of shooting, the Rockets will have Harden, Gordon/Rivers, Tucker/House, spacing the floor & Capella rolling to the basket.

Westbrook just needs to eliminate the long two's and cut down the contested pull-up threes and I believe his game will mesh fine on the Rockets.

Now I can go back to rooting for the rox full heartily, I dispose cp3 ever since his younger years. Can’t bring myself to liking him.

Also this is what I posted last week, my idea could still be possible, except Dallas would need to send C.Lee's 12mil salary to match since they no longer have any cap space.

Absolutely. Forgot to mention Jazz as well who got slightly better with Connely. Even Mavs looks like an exciting team when Porzingis returns.
