    CRAZY...

....HOWEVER that would definitely open the door to KD, correct?

Well, now what will Morey do about this? Instead of playing ping pong he should get back to getting this team in the top four seeds in the West. I hope he has something in the works.

I don't get it. Maybe Terence has no trade value right now, and they don't want to give him up for nothing so they let Josh walk?

Or they REALLY like Harrell but that's hard to believe.

Will wait to judge with Morey as always but man, if we go into the season with Jones as our backup PF (or starter if D-Mo is not healthy!) this is going to be a tough pill to swallow.

I honestly think his lack of free throw shooting is why Morey wasn't so aggressive in retaining him.

I don't like it. In fact, I'm pissed.

How long were we trying to get Smith over to the Rockets? And, then we do...and he's gone just like that.

Really didn't see this one coming.

I was happy when he signed last season, but learned very quickly that Josh Smith giveth and Josh Smith taketh away. I'll never forget the stellar performances he had this past playoffs, and I'll try to forget his brain dead moments.

I would say good luck in LA, but I wouldn't really mean it.

This is terrible news. Wtf are the Rockets doing with the MLE? KJ McDaniels is such a huge gamble and we are in a win now mode. Very disappointing.

There has got to be under the table money involved here.

One of Josh's cousins just got a job as a consultant with Microsoft.

And we already have Harden, Brewer, Dekker locked up for years. McDaniels isn't a necessity.

While next year D-Mo and Jones both hit restricted free agency, and Jones will be gone after getting inevitably overpaid.

Its even worse cause now the Clippers have a step up on Houston.

And he was the 2nd playmaker no matter how erratic.

Anybody pretending this is good news is either totally delusional or only watched the Rockets sporadically, at best.

Replaceable in the end, will hurt a bit but we didn't lose Harden/Dwight...we'll be alright.

By the way I'm pretty sure this is how it's going to go about in the next couple of days:

Smith will say that he wasn't waiting to hear from the Rockets but didn't even get a call or any news.

Damn it. when he was happy to come off the bench he was great for those spurts
I didn't want him starting because DMO is better but I hate to see him go to the clippers.

    F them both!

This freaking sux. Both tj and dmo are coming off of devastating injuries. Its not shocking if either one misses half the season next season.

Did you not watch Smith routinely get dominated by Griffin in the second round?

So glad this scrub is gone.

wait seriously? Jones is an excellent backup

the issue is we haven't gotten anyone in addition and lost smoove

this would be easily be remedied by another ballhandler, but that's not a unique request

It's strange that some people seem OK with Josh leaving.. Josh was the reason we advanced so far in the playoffs.
