Sad to see, lottery picks from just a few years ago...now can't even make an NBA roster. And I thought Terrence actually showed some positive signs in Sacramento http://basketball.realgm.com/wiretap/224097/Pistons_Waive_Flynn_Terrence_Williams
Williams shows flashes sometimes but I guess he's a big disturbance overall. Flynn doesn't know what he's doing at the 1 at this level.
Jack of all trades that doesnt take direction well in a league where the players that do one or two things really well and listen play for 5+years
I think T-Will will eventually sign with another team. While his skill set is raw, he just packs too much athletic ability not to be playing.
The Terrence Williams that just got cut(because he was on a non-guaranteed contract)is a product of a crappy contract situation that is a product of a crappy second year with the Nets & Rockets that led to them NOT picking up his rookie option. The fact is, young players, and NBA fans just do not realize how important the first two years are in their NBA careers. Everyone kept on thinking that... "Just wait...He's still young.... He's got the talent... All he needs is an opportunity" Truth is a rookie contract is basically a paid internship for a long term position in the company. A intern might feel like a real employee while they are there, but they are far from it. Rookies need to treat the first two years or their rookie contract as such. If you dont, then you end up with a bad non-guaranteed contract, and camp invites. When that team has to make cuts to trim their roster.... guess who goes first.... NON GUARANTEED CONTRACTS.
He's just another Von Wafer. Teams don't have time to baby guys like him. Sucks because if he had the right mindset coming in he could've been a solid player. Burned too many bridges though.
i'm a bit surprised. Williams looked well. that said, i would keep Drummond and all those other youngsters away from T-Will too.
