I don't remember much of Seattle much back in the day except when they played the Rockets, but how good was "The Glove" compared to his peers at the time?
Him and kemp used to give the Rockets all kinds of fits. Gary Payton would school you and let it be known as well. He's prob one of my favorite non rocket pg's of all time even though he was a rival. He's right up there with All the other greats like Stockton, Isiah etc in my book.
I like it. He could do some damage posting up. Especially when you consider the changes to the game over the last couple of decades. A point guard now-a-days can get away with being short (relatively), light and quick. I could see John Wall abusing smaller guards in the post.
man i miss watching the sonics play, payton one of the greatest point guards of all time, arguably the best defensive point guard, definitely the No. 1 trash talking point guard. John wall could do wonders if he could learn how to post up as a point guard. There are too many point guards who are too small/weak to stop wall on the post.
This will be good for both he and Lillard. Maybe Canaan can get in on this. He has already played games with Paul.
