It looked bad before he even signed it. Wizard were delusional in thinking more years of Wall would be a good thing. Maybe he'd fit in on other teams, but that ship has sailed for DC.
I'm in the same camp, but like i said in the other thread, the Wizards never do what makes sense so...
I'm sad to hear of this. Wall is erratic and was a 2nd tier star when he was at his best. If he can recover and remake himself like Wesley Matthews, he will do well. I hope he will play well again.
This is what pissing me off...They can become sellers and get under the tax and get picks in return... Shoot the Rockets will give them 3-4 picks of Beal. But they are happy to be stuck in no mans land with that garbage mediocre squad.
There are literally no amount of picks that can move that contract...it really it over for them...rebuild is the only way. Also no worries.... insurance will be paying for that contract..... for all those worried about that aspect.
nobody can say cp3 is the worst contract in the league now and these numbers look just like torn out of james harden january historic streak
Wall received the @basketballholic kiss of death U see why claiming that the Rockets would ever take on this dude’s disastrous contract was an outrageous statement?
Pretty much done as an elite player or I guess an all-nba player candidate. Not even hindsight to say they should have traded him a while ago.
I disagree with our President for once. If you build an artificial Wall, people will really start streaming in to Wizards games! It would be the most popular thing since the Chuck-E Cheese animatronic band.
I don't how or what you would need to do to get rid of Wall's contract. He won't play next season. So, in essence, you will be paying him 55 million a season.
They say Wall was rehab minor injury which left open since his body wasn't right in first place. D rose might get another Adidas new shoe deal!!!!
As you should. You have to realize as it stands today that you aren't winning a ring or getting close with a healthy Beal and Wall.
Wizards need to attach him to Beal and send them out for less salary that gets them out of the tax that is either expiring or considerably shorter contracts than Wall/Beal. They trade them either to a lottery team and then let the lottery team covert Beal into assets. Or they trade the pair to a playoff team that has all their picks and other assets that they can use to move Wall back out next season. The ideal scenario would be a 3-team scenario with the Pelicans and another team. Pels take Wall and Beal and send out AD to third team and Hill back to Washington. Third team sends a couple shorter contracts with some minor value to Washington and significant assets to the Pels and get back AD and contracts from Washington. Pels then flip Beal to another contender (Lakers) for expirings, picks, assets. There is opportunity here.
