I've never seen it. Prob cause Roddy got under my skin. But the plot is interesting. I'm surprised this hasn't been remade because the structure is sound.

    Best line in the film:

Also, I'm pretty sure Meg Foster is a witch who consumed my soul with her nightmarish blue eyes when I first watched this film.

As a kid, I could never figure out if she was hot or just really creepy looking. Still not sure.

Also, this is one of the greatest fight scenes ever...South Park agrees

I re-watched this last night because of this thread. I hadn't seen it I was a little kid, definitely did not understand the "wokeness" as a kid and just saw it as an alien movie.

Watched it last night. It's on Starz for better quality.
I missed all the political allegory when I was a kid watching it.
8/10! That's more than putting perfume on a pig.

Here is a review from the original release date Nov 4, 1988 by the failing NYT.
"Since Mr. Carpenter seems to be trying to make a real point here, the flatness of ''They Live'' is doubly disappointing. So is its crazy inconsistency"

I've seen The Thing, Big Trouble in Little China and They Live about 20 times each and if any of them were on TV right now I'd watch 'em again.
