And it is sinking our ship. It used to be that when the 2nd unit was in, we had a major advantage, we had decent offense under CP3, and great defense with Luc and Tucker - now, things have changed, our 2nd units D is below average and it looks to me like we are getting beat regularly against our 2nd unit. And Joe Johnson is crap at D, crap at rotation, and crap at shooting, it may be that he is just done as a player - Gerald Green may be dumber than a box of hammers but he plays with force. Joe Johnson - just not good enough. (Edit) this is just my perception, I wonder what the +/- is with him on the floor? DD
I never thought signing JJ would be a bad idea . I didn't think having more options was bad . But frankly , MDAs decision to play JJ when he has is KILLING US . JJ has had ONE good game . The rest he's dragged us down. It's about time for the experiment to end . Green is better . Ryan is better . He should not be playing unless it's a blowout or we are resting people . JJ can still be useful for us ... If James or Chris takes a day off. Outside of that ... I agree , he is hampering our play . People will say "trust the coach " "JJ is getting in shape for the playoffs " ... And while that might be true ... So far he has SUCKED . And he's taken minutes away from someone who earned them ... Which is really disappointing

Once he went out we went on a run, that seems to be the case every game - I just don't think he is good enough, whereas someone like Eddie Johnson played at 37 at a high level, Joe Johnson is just done, he has no lift, no quickness, and is just not good enough anymore to be more than a 12th or lower man. He is an emergency player at best these days, but MDA keeps on trucking by playing him....might be time for Morey to take away his wubbie and cut him. DD
I like to think that MD is just giving Johnson every opportunity to get comfortable and break out of a funk, but he'll play the better option at the end of the season.
Iike other people said, I think mda is trying to get him ready for the playoffs, but that **** aint working the guy is old and I can definitely see him costing us a game or two in the playoffs.
