They're going to have to make him take his time. I don't believe it's the organization rushing things. I think it's him. Though, he has said multiple times since last season that he does now see the value in missing a game or 2.
We don't...but he has a history of not taking it easy when he should..he's also setting up best case scenario here by playing in game1...no point in going for best case, when it's not a pivotal game..there's no reason he can't afford to miss that week, maybe two, other than his pride.

The way our defense is playing, we dont need Watt to win week 1. I'd rather him rest and come strong against the Chiefs.
If Watt truly is ready to come back, I wouldn't mind putting him on a really limited snap count in that first game against Chicago. It would give him a chance to ramp up to game speed, while still maintaining control over the situation.
I have no idea how he's feeling or how his rehab is going, none of us do, but I'm damn sure not going to listen to #twitterdoctor, MD.
I don't care if Watt is feeling like a billion dollars. I wouldn't play him until week three or four.
They said he couldnt go from Central Michigan TE to pizza delivery boy to walk on at Wisconsin... They said a walk on at Wisconsin couldn't become a first round NFL draft pick.... They said no other defensive player would ever win 3 DPOYs...
They said he would never walk again... Seriously if so many doctors have this many reservations, then he should just wait out another week or two.
Agree. We should...should curb stomp the Bears. I'd give him that extra week even if he is ready and unleash him on the Chiefs.
I'd agree, but none of these doctors have ever examined him. I'm sure the Texans will be ultra conservative and if his own doctor has reservations, then they'll hold him out in a heartbeat. On the other hand if his doc says he is ready to go, then I'd imagine they will trust his opinion but limit his snaps initially.
Banking on the Texans to be ultra conservative is pretty safe. Just not with the health of their players. This is a team that trotted Watt out as a running back with Wilfork as an O lineman.
One is not like the other. The body needs time to heal. You can play, but you increase chance of injury.
I just want him a 100% against the Chiefs...Eric Fisher needs a proper a$$ whooping... <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/HGiQnOMdubE" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
