The Texans made it to the divisional round of the playoffs without Watt! They will keep him and address the QB situation in a smarter non-desperate fashion. Only another franchise player, a promising stud QB or 1st round picks for a few years would do, if trading JJ is an option.
Romo would be a good get for Houston (not for Watt), but don't see how that happens with Brock's deal guaranteed for next season.
You cut Cushing, J-Jo, and some others, as well as restructuring Brock. But, it allows you no room to get anybody else, or re-sign Bouye. It's pretty terrible the longer you think about it.
And that avatar pic is straight off the short bus- if that's really you, think about the way you present yourself to the CF public.
If the Texans ever trade Watt right now, you would truly see fans not go to games and see massive abandonment of the team.
I don't see McNair or Rick taking a shot at Romo no matter how cheap he ends up being, nor do I see them drafting a QB high. Brock was their guy and they'll stick with him for at least another year. Nothing O'Brien can do about that other than benching him until Savage gets hurt.
Dallas has zero leverage. Keep him and they waste tons of cap room that could improve their squad. They have to cut or trade him. Romo is worth a 3rd Round pick (with a restructured contract. ) Definitely not giving up Watt for him unless Dallas throws in 2 1st Rounders with Romo.
Anyone who thinks Osweiler is a trade asset is swallowing so much of McNair's spunk it is dripping out of his ears.
Not to mention, if they trade him somewhere he doesn't want to go, he can just retire. Hell, he can retire if they don't cut him, as leverage. Romo literally has all the leverage to go where he wants in the situation.
What's even more asinine is that the article makes it out like the Cowboys would be the one getting fleeced.
