Jerry West believes Warriors weak point is very clear.

Discussion in 'Houston Rockets: Game Action & Roster Moves' started by Fish36floor, Apr 24, 2019.

?

This series will probably come down to who has better bench production.

  1. Warriors will have better bench production.

    6.1%
  2. Rockets will have better bench production.

    93.9%

Maybe our bench can look to outplay theirs, but like West said, the bench doesn't see much playing time in the playoffs anyways.

Our bench needs to score more than 5 points...

Will our bench actually play? or does everyone who starts need to get Ebola infections for Mike to sub in?

Thank god we don't do something like 7 Players or Less!

In fairness to MDA, he seems tolerant to guys who can defend on the switch, but will those guys take and want to make open shots?

I don’t think we run the same offensive scheme at all. But too the point of bench production. Depth for us is more of a function of having an ball handler to iso and initiate the offense (Beard or CP3), a bunch of shooters (so who ever is hitting their shots and matching up well, and a pnr rim running (Cap or Faried).

Three main functions so Depth for us is really about plugging people into those slots at all times.

Their scheme is ball movement and matchups.

    Apples and oranges I think

Iguodala vs. Green and Looney vs. Faried are definitely two matchups that do not favor us

I think MDA will shorten the bench as the series progresss just like last year. Faried and Nene may become unplayable or very limited minutes with the switching defense. Green will get some burn if Warriors go to their bench but in limited minutes. Austin and House will play the most minutes because of their ability to switch on defense.

The most important ability against GSW is if a player can switch and limit points given up. Shump may get some playing time if he manages to show he can defend well and hit the occasional 3.

Exactly what I came here to post...

Let’s not look forward until we hopefully wrap up the series with the Jazz. These threads bother me a bit, but I’m a little superstitious.

The Warriors TRUE weak point is *turnovers.* It is a potential product of the passing/ball movement system. Either through laziness in passing or team defense in jumping the passing lanes, the Warriors downfall will be the result of high turnover games.

Send your prayers. I'll continue sending my negative vibes to the Worriers and Scott Foster.

Green is unplayable vs GSW. We're gonna deploy the Rivers Shumpert House triumvirate to blow out their wing-happy squad with our 3-and-D superiority. They are not that deep at all.
