I'm glad Lin replied to @yoeddy on twitter His devotion to one player over family, god, and country is amazing
I haven't read thru this thread …. but just had a thought: McLemore has apparently been terrible …. does he make the roster anyway ? They are 5 deep at the guard spots with Harden , Westbrook , EG , Rivers , GG without McLemore …. Is that enough if he doesn't make the roster? Would Lin be an upgrade as the 6th guard on this roster over McLemore and is it worth the headaches of the LOF's driving us all mad ?! Lin at the minimum might not be a bad insurance plan on the tail end of the bench or am I crazy ? Yeah , I know - we need a legit 4.
McLemore has one thing going at this point, he can shoot. If he can't we will just cut him. Lin is literally good at nothing at this point. He lost all of his explosiveness and athleticism with injuries which made him semi useful. Now he's Below average shooter Average ball handler Terrible defender Average court vision Below average bball IQ And injury prone
McLemore can shoot. Our system needs long range bombers and we dont have enough. So, he actually fills a need. Did you even watch Lin play for the Raptors? He shot 37% from the field and 20% from the 3 point line. lol..ouch! And that doesnt even tell you the whole story. He was horrendous. Absolutely atrocious. So much so that Raptors didnt trust him with even a single meaningful minutes during the playoff run even when Vanfleet was struggling before he caught fire. As Rockets fans, we have seen that you cannot trust Lin with the ball in pressure situation. Raptors understood that and kept him glued to the bench even when there was a need for someone to step in and contribute. Look at his record before Raptors. He has been bouncing around shitty teams and playing meaningless games. He is a mental midget that has never recovered from the Rockets demotion. Ever since Beverley took his starting spot, his entire goal has been to get a starting job somewhere. He even left a somewhat favorable role he had at Hornets to run to a shitty team just so that he can start. For Lin, it's all about his image. He craves the attention he gets from his lunatic fans. His play on the court and his statements to the media reek of selfishness. He has already had run ins with Morey as well in the past. Also, from one of the insiders here, Morey was irate at him during the Blazers series. So why would Morey be interested in adding a scrub to this team that is a liability both on and off the court?? If he wanted to he could have done so a while ago. Think about this. NO ONE wanted to sign him this off-season even though he practically sat there and cried while playing the victim card. There is no upside to a 30 year old mental midget. Might as well invest on a young unknown talent.
Being a fan of the NBA, nay basketball, for just one person is such a dilute and flavorless take. The richness of our sport necessitates going above and beyond that. But hey, if you want to get some Grade A5 kobe beef then cook it super well done and drench it ketchup be my guest. You're an ignorant fool for doing so.
Why is this relevant to anything the Rockets are doing? Admins please close this topic, or move it to NBA dish, thank you.
In addition to being one of the most overhyped/overrated players the NBA has seen, this guy's definitely the biggest crybaby. Good Lord. In fact this thread is a fitting tribute to him & his delusional cult.
