Who wouldn't want to play basketball in the sovereign, independent nation of Taiwan?

Their league is semi-pro and pays next to nothing. So... anyone who has better options.

Bro, we get it, you made a super astute and original political joke, no need to repeat it.

You sound like a person who has never been to the autonomous and independent economic powerhouse nation of Taiwan.

Yes, where everyone can afford pickled mustard greens and tea-infused eggs, not like some other country, right?

It's not just a basketball league in Taiwan, it's a Super Basketball League.

China doesn't have one of those, do they?

Looks like Jeremy Lin is making a last ditch effort for a NBA team to sign him or he's China bound.

    2 hours ago – via China.org.cn
The Ducks have made substantial progress in negotiations with Lin’s representatives, but the two sides are not yet ready to finalize a deal, according to a Sunday report in Beijing Youth Daily
. In response to speculation on online streaming platform China Sports zhibo.tv, the agency representing Lin said he hasn’t agreed to terms with any team. Though he was born in the US, Lin has family ties to China and is very popular with Chinese fans. During a visit to Shanghai last month he said that playing in the CBA would rate second only to a return to the NBA in terms of career fulfillment.

He also has a doc out...

Maybe if Lin spent more time working on improving his game and less time making social media videos, documentaries, and doing self promotion tours these last few years, he'd still have a job in the NBA.

    This x1000 times.

Beverley used to be a journeyman outside of the NBA. He worked his ass off to earn a spot on a team in the NBA and landed on the Rockets.

About the same time Airemy earned a fat contract by the Rockets and landed a starting spot on the team.

Pat kept working on his game and eventually kicked Airemy out of the starting PG spot.

Since then, when injury has not slowed Pat, he has been a valuable player on both the Rockets and the Clippers, the two teams he has played for. Rockets gave him a contract and now Clippers signed him to another contract.

Airemy, on the other hand, has been a journeyman. Has gone through 5 teams after the Rockets on short stints, each letting him move on.

And now he is crying about no NBA team wanting to give him a contract, and will be a journeyman outside of the NBA.

The opposite of Pat's career trajectory.

Like you said, he should have worked on him game instead of all the extra curricular activities he is constantly engaged in.

He's Antonio Brown attitude wise. Obviously not talent wise.

Jeremy Lin is an NBA champion, but he’s embarrassed he didn’t really earn it
