I made this same parallel in another thread. I was fighting the 14-15 season comparison so I didn't want to trumpet the thought. Plus, I was low-key trying to save this for when Ariza comes back.

No I actually do mean '15-'16, if you recall Smoove went to the Clippers that offseason after the run the year before. He came back that January, I think we traded a pick for him but can't be sure. Everyone thought the season was saved just like now with Bzdelik. @Dream Shook good call on saving it for a potential Ariza return. This team does feel different from that one though, there were clear issues with the DH and JH relationship. Unproven coaching. This team just isn't hungry, who knows maybe they can turn it on toward the second half though.
too much dysfunction came with him... I think he quit bc of Melo (due to Denver)... then Melo got canned to bring back Jeff... so now there's a division between our coaches and our stars - and the tension is rubbing off on the rest of the team... barring a better explanation... thats what it looks like to me...
