    Written tests in lieu of actually running through a set to burn it into each player's memory. Good coaching Jason Kidd.

    I don't really like Jason Kidd, but I have little doubt he'll be a good coach. I like this idea for that team.

    Guys can run through a set and not be thinking about it, particularly if they're tired. Different ways of looking at the same problem is always beneficial

    Kidd is looking like a shrewd head coach

    phil jackson made everyone meditate and run through plays in their mind.

    You need to have both. You need to mentally get it and have the reflexes. That way if something happens that you don't have in your muscle memory you aren't totally lost. Good coaching.

    Its probably not in lieu of running the plays, its in combination. Also, this could be geared toward defensive matchups/strategies as well. Defense isn't always a burned in kind of thing either.

    I think it's interesting. I like it.
