I think he has accomplished that already. He will now be remembered as a villain for perfecting the same things that Ginobili is a hero for starting.

Let’s start by beating the warriors in the playoffs for once. Enough personal achievements.

He definitely game changed. I’ve seen it change from regular season to post season annually.

Exactly, star players should be even better in the playoffs, not worse. I don’t blame Harden as much as I blame Morey and his coaches. If only James had kept his midrange game and added the step back threes and floaters he would be the best he can be. Now we have to watch him shoot threes at all costs since his above the rim game is lost and pray he gets hot.

It's depressing watching his first year Rocket highlights where he effortlessly finished at the rim. He would also take shots that the defense gave him far more often isntead of forcing himself to take the more difficult three. His game today is just more suited for the regular season where teams play 5 different teams in a span of two weeks so they can't hone in on tendencies as much as a 7 game series. His game is far more easier to defend in the playoffs now where teams can memorize his tendencies.

I agree . This is more to do with Morey and Dantoni making Harden a creature of habit.

Enough talk! Put up shut up James Harden. You know why Dream has a statue in front of Toyota Center? The dude turned into a beast in the playoffs. He raised the level of his game and others around him followed his lead.

I’m pretty sure Morey is the one pushing him to do all the foul baiting too. Free throws are the most efficient shot.

    I also want to know.

Dude was making dudes spin around from his euro step. He just doesn't do it any more. His game has become more linear with the slow dribble taking 20 seconds to finally make a move.

Ow snap, you’re right. It has been ages since he ran down the floor and did that. There are no excuses though, Harden and coaches have to adjust. Stubbornly sticking to the gameplan will cost us and they will deserve all the criticism they get.

Unfortunately, the adjustments Harden needs to make are not adjustments that can happen game to game. He's going to need an entire off-season to regain his mid range game and his finishing ability around the rim. It's going to take an entire off-season for him to remove the habit of taking 20 seconds out of a shot clock to make a move.

I think he secured at least Dominique Wilkins status. More because of his mvp, but similar in that he's been in the shadow of a different team

He will be hard to describe. Stats leader but not really the stats padder like Brodie.

Everyone else hates his flops but it takes a lot of hate to only be remembered only for that.

The other potential neg will be playoff performance. Bron took the same **** till he won something....

For now, I'd remember him as the first Black Euro(style) Player. A crafty Manu like scorer/defender who isn't blessed with Olympian athleticism while having the brains and All Star handles at point along with the size to bang in and mix it up inside (that part should already earn Iverson's respect for grit).

It definitely contrasts with Curry's game even if they end up with a lot of threes

I'm tired of hearing stuff him say stuff like this. Step up in the playoffs if you want to be a game changer.
