After trading away Patterson and Morris, this is Houston's starting 5: Notice something? Yeah, me, too. Harden is now sticking out like a sore thumb as the only lottery pick among those 5 guys. In fact, he and Robinson (who is rather at the edge of a still not-quite-settled rotation) are the only two lottery picks on the roster-- and the next two highest picked players, White and Jones, don't play. Everyone else is picked 20th or below. This team has had a few lotto picks of its own in recent seasons-- none are on the roster any more. They have also cycled through several lotto picks from other teams. Just kind of weird that they all except Harden and the newly arrived Robinson have been beaten out of minutes and eventually roster spots by guys who were late 1st rounders, 2nd rounders and undrafted.
Another reason why this team is so easy to root for. Everybody loves to root for the hardworking underdogs.
i think he's saying our team is no longer in line with diversity standards with out 2Pat in the starting line-up.
Ok I will say it since nobody else wants to. HARDEN IS THE ONLY BLACK GUY IN OUR STARTING LINEUP. THERE.
Parsons kinda looks like a morph of Omer and DMo. So what is the takeaway? Lotto picks are overrated? Or Morey is terrible at drafting lotto picks but good at finding hidden gems?
