James Harden played like the best player on the court in Game 1. 41 points on 14-24 FG in 35 minutes. This easily beat Durant's 37 points on 14-27 FG in 40 minutes. Rockets just need role players to step up.

Harden needs more help! Waive CP3! Build around Harden! Sign PG13 and sign and trade LBJ. Who says no?

The team and MDA really let down Harden today. He did more than enough on Defense and offense to win this game.

He was terrible on defense unfortunately.

Harden had the best offensive outing (with Durant a close 2nd) but he was an embarrassment on defense.

By far the Rockets best player . It’s sad that cp3 looks washed up these days and inconsistent....also the narrative was harden can’t perform in the playoffs? Well he has been a top 3 Performer in the playoffs so far

Agreed . James played exceptional tonight . If only we had converted some more opportunities the game could have turned out quite differently

I really dont want to be that guy but harden didnt defend very well tonight. Plenty of those backdoor cuts where scrubs or curry got easy layups were on harden.

Im a diehard harden supporter and I understand why he wasnt that great on defense tonight. He was dog tired and laid everything on the line on the other end tonight. He was def the best player on the court tonight.

There’s more to the story than just points and fg%.

He also had costly turnovers in the most crucial stretch as well unfortunately which killed the momentum. 4 TO’s and -7 overall. He can be be better or rather he needs to be better with ball protection and decision making. He waited too long and was indecisive on a lot of plays. I’m not knocking him cause he’s one of the few guys that showed up and it wouldn’t have been close without him but it was a flawed performance and certainly not one to be boasting about.

His teammates gotta step up but he’s gotta do a better job to try and get them going earlier on and get their confidence up in game 2 along with that ball protection. There’s no way he, Chris and Capela can get it done by themselves. Need 15-18 points consistently from Ego and at least one of Ariza, Tucker, Luc, Green to score double digits.

You're talking down about a guy who, at 33 years of age, is posting 21.8 / 5.5 / 6.4 with 2.1 steals and a 3.4 assist to turnover ratio on .485 / .377 / .879 shooting? Aside from a dip in assists due to sharing the ball with Harden, he's essentially putting up his career playoff averages while playing 11% fewer minutes.

I saw another post of yours complaining specifically that his shooting has been inconsistent. Yet you're singing Harden's praises despite the fact that he was 6 of 32 (.188) from three in his last 4 games coming in to tonight.

This is such a bad take that I'm starting to believe you're a troll.

Yet we still lost. Warriors are just too much for any team to overcome. Lebron to join us in the summer if Warriors goes all the way again.

Warriors did a good job of disrupting the off ball movement that harden was patiently waiting for. 4 turnovers against 41 points and 7 assists is not bad at all

You're right, but I still thought Harden did enough on defense to win.
