    Boom! This will be huge for Harden's confidence and also I think will give him the opportunity to play less selfishly. Not saying he is playing selfishly, but now the only thing left to prove is that he can he can win a championship.

    ... we can sign LeBron and Harden's PPG will drop from 31 to 24 but nobody will care. We'll be winning and Harden will have already received top accolades as reigning MVP so he won't worry about it. We win the NBA championship next year and Harden takes Finals MVP after LeBron watched him drop 50 on the Warriors in the game 4 clincher of the Western Conference finals. Adam Silver figures out how to prevent any more super teams from forming. The Warriors are dismantled as KD goes back to OKC to help his buddy get a trophy. We release LeBron so he can sign back with the Cavs to finish out his career on his home team, something Jordan didn't have the humility to do. James Harden is the 2019-2020 MVP and Finals MVP as the Rockets dismantle the Sixers in the Finals. Olajuwon convinces Embid that Houston is the best place to become a legendary NBA center and Embid joins Harden in Houston and makes the Shaq and Kobe combination seem one dimensional in comparison. Hey, it could happen . . . .

    Harden got his mom a commercial and brought his mom up on stage to celebrate when he won the MVP.

    KD, Curry, and Westbrook could never. Frauds.

    to be fair, once you win one, it becomes extremely difficult to win a 2nd so these last 2 seasons wouldn't be viewed the same by the voters. there wouldn't be much too deny harden this year (kinda like curry in 2016 where he's got the stats and the wins), but even a year like this might be denied by voter fatigue. getting a 3rd without a title would be pretty difficult.
