Harden with his TO problems, carelessness, etc. shouldn't be just anointed the MVP tbh. Westbrook being a 7 seed doesn't warrant an MVP either but he plays his heart out and leaves it out there on the court. Games like tonight are why a lot of people just don't take Harden seriously outside of Houston. I really can't blame him. If I wasn't a Rox fan I would probably be rooting for Westbrook to get the MVP too.

Coupled with his All Star game fail (I know it's irrelevant), he continues to have poor shooting nights.

    MVP trending towards Westbrook

I've done my fair share of caping for Harden, but that was an unacceptable loss/performance.

Some people are just quicker at noticing (or admitting) troubling trends. I didn't need this Pacers game to confirm that Harden is not playing like MVP this season. Maybe people should be a little more objective about their assessment of players on this team.

He doesn't deserve MVP. Neither does Westbrook. There really is no standout "MVP" this year.

Yes, it is. Just listening to TNT last night, you could tell it's what's gonna happen. Half the broadcast was just talking about Westbrook's triple doubles during a Rockets/Pacers game.

Troubling trends from recent play aside, Harden is still the lone Allstar on the 3rd best team in the league, and is putting up historic numbers. Westbrook's 2 more rebounds, and 3 more points (with 5 more fg attempts) don't make up for the 7 game difference between their two teams.

I almost came on the boards just to make a "wait, did Indiana acquire Russell Westbrook" joke about how much they were talking about him in an unrelated game, but I felt like it would have been a little petty when the Rockets were playing so poorly. But yeah, I sure noticed that too.

Nice to have some good press for Harden right now for the MVP push.

Idgaf LeBron should win MVP every season. That said, **** Westbrook he's a stat w****. Apparently averaging 2 more rebounds than a guy that averages 2 more assists and way more wins gets you MVP because of a fancy term for the stat line.

Westbrook is literally behind Harden in this, yet Sportscenter makes the tweet about Westbrook.

This is the kind of stuff, man...

Ah yes, the SI Curse in full effect. No MVP and trashed in the first round in 5 games.

If OKC is 4th / 5th and keeps his team playing well then it should be WB. There's nothing to gain in Harden winning MVP, no matter how good his numbers are, when he keeps being so careless.
