Ariza is french fries as well. In a lot of situations Ennis is actually better than Ariza. I would also point out Ariza did not have a good year last year defensively and offensively he was quite streaky.

I've watched every game since about 1991. And DMo wasn't ever close to allstar level

It's true. It's not hard to see Pelicans putting up points on us like this because they have been doing it the past few years.

Regardless of how some may feel about Melo. James Ennis shouldn't be starting. James and Chris don't even pass him the ball, there's no chemistry there. They just keep forcing it to Tucker like he's gonna put 20 a night.

Another thing, James Harden still doesn't move without the ball when playing alongside CP3, it just seems like a real lazy way to play. It'll be much easier for him to score if he moved around off of back screens. Thats MDA's job to draw those plays. We not beating GSW, if we don't add some wrinkles to the offense. James harden should be a scorer first, we already have the best playmaker in the league to get everyone involved. It's so frustrating to watch sometimes. Simple fix could make this team deadly.

James ennis is not a bad player but to think he can replace the leadership and locker room presence Ariza had is r****ded. There are certain things that do not show on a spread sheet that can not be amounted to dollar figures. Ariza Tucker luc and chris Paul clearly lead the defense last year. Ariza's ability to get everyone to communicate on the defensive end was clearly missed. Yes Ennis is younger and can cover more ground. There is no denying that. Ennis has younger legs. But he is definitely more suited to come off the bench and take over Luc's role over Ariza until he learns a year or so as to how we play. I knew we were going to feel Ariza's absence, I just didn't think it would be as early as the first game of the season. I really hope we can find a way to either get Butler in a Rockets uniform or get Trevor Ariza back ASAP.

Dear OP, please be on CF more than three weeks before starting b**** threads about the Rockets.
Then you can take Morey's job after a year on CF.

I was super excited about Ennis when we signed him in the summer. Then I saw him during the preseason and told myself this is why he was traded for a second round pick and nobody offered him a decent contract, he’s not very good. Yet people on here and on the team were raving about what a great fit he’s appearing to be.

Yea, he had a huge impact in the 2016 NBA finals because his butt sweat injured Curry and help DA LAND win DA SHIP

Never underestimate a farmer's butt sweat on the court

James Ennis at best is a prime Luc Mbah Moute.

To really replace Ariza, we need to trade for Butler if that deal is still on the table.

Ariza's spacing and length on Defense was a huuuuuge part of the Rockets success. Ofcourse its not easily replaced by a journeyman on a Minimum deal.

I agree with everything in your post, but specifically wanted to highlight your Clint comment. Spot on. Frustrating to watch.

Also, Harden can pretty much shelve the "lob to Clint off the drive" playing against AD. Clint is NOT going to out jump AD on those lobs. Pels are the one team that shuts that $hit down.
