“Dr. Beard” Because the way James Harden continues to do his job and prove everyone wrong despite the haters always trying to say something negative about his work, kinda like a Doctor... in the hospital, doing surgeries daily and having wins and losses all the time, while sometimes taking people’s souls as well in the process, but no matter the hardship, no matter the negativity in the work environment if a surgery didn’t go as planned, or if the treatment plan didn’t go as planned, the Doctor continues to do his job, teaches the naysayers that you shouldn’t ever give up on your craft, on your love for the work that you do, because you’re a Doctor for a reason, to teach, to execute, to save, and to make everyone believe no matter what happens. This is why James Harden should be James “Dr. Beard” Harden forever. He is truly a Doctor in his own class...
He isn't a physician, he's a real doctor. To get your Ph.D. in a science you have to contribute to the field at large. It involves a lot of failure, studying, getting back up, succeeding and then publishing said results. At the end of it, you take a stance and defend it with the body of work you've done. James Harden, B.Ph.D sounds about right to me. Then again, as others eluded, why not just call him the Beard?
More like James "Doc Brown" Harden, because he's always coming up with crazy new stuff in his Offense Lab. I wouldn't be surprised if he buys a DeLorean, and the next day we learn that we're actually the defending champs this year.
