We have 4 fantastic guards and Crawford is like a million years old. I say we sign Prince Luc for the vet min if non guaranteed is not possible. But who know maybe House and Clark pan out. Both of them provide size and have the tools to be good 3&D type guys. House can even slash and pull up on his own a little bit..
If we're being honest.... he is a better player than Gerald Green. Wonder if he could come in and play that Mike Miller James Jones role...
his last 4 games of the season.. he dropped 19 and 5 on cleveland, 28 and 7 on NO, 27 and 6 on us, and 51 5 and 5 on Dallas... Would be foolish not to consider him as an option deep on the bench. I think him and Westbrook on the floor together would be crazy.
Haven’t seen Crawford play since like 2015. I remember liking what he brought to the table with his size and skillset but how old is the guy at this point? Can he still play without being a total liability on D? But seriously, EG is a s Sure seems that way unfortunately..
In the fact that he would literally do nothing but shoot.... kinda like the way Gerald Green has that role with us. No defense. No ball handling. Just shooting. Master efficiency. We don't need Gerald Green lite coming of our bench though.
Now I gotta defend Gerald Green over Jamal Crawford (who I called a better pure shooter than Eric Gordon ) https://www.basketball-reference.com/players/g/greenge01.html https://www.basketball-reference.com/players/c/crawfja01.html I'm going to take the @Haymitch route and ask, "by what measure?".
If not for his total lack of defensive awareness and iq, Green would actually be solid role player. Offensively, Jamal Crawford is more skilled with his handle, passing, and ability to make some ridiculous shots... but he’s also a million years old. The fact is at least Green is still athletic enough to compensate for his low d awareness and can get hot from 3, which is valuable in the regular season. Either way, neither of them are playable in the playoffs at this point..
Not looking to compare stats between a player playing on a contender verse one playing in phoenix with a bunch of babies.. Jamal Crawford in Houston's system would be an explosion. I know he's old. but he can still get buckets. No doubt in my mind that Crawford is a better shooter and scorer than Gerald Green. Also a better passer and ball handler.
When does Gerald Green really even use his athleticism? and Jamal Crawford might have aged but seriously his game doesn't even revolve around crazy athleticism. His ball handling is deceiving and he's got a quick trigger. If they both aren't defensive players it doesn't make much sense to throw out Green over Crawford if you're looking for scoring in bunches. I truly think Crawford alongside Harden and Westbrook could potentially see a 1 year rebirth. OAN: I wonder what Crawford's percentage from corner 3 is ? I dont know how to pull that info.
In the role of Bobby Brown? Sure, why not. Houston has a million guards, no way he gets playing time. If he's cool with that, helps chemistry, takes a non-guaranteed min., there are worse players out there...
Isn't his career average against us like 54ppg? I'd sign him just so we don't have to face him anymore.
