    Gang,

I hate to start a new RW thread but Rose pretty much nailed it..This is also my concern!! I love Harden, but he needs to somehow change style of play in order to win a championship!!!

Jalen and Jacoby got less fat.

Did they do some Hollywood cleanse together?

He's absolutely right. He even made the caveat that it was preseason basketball and that things can change. The chemistry clearly isn't there yet. If you're happy with our offense as presently constructed then great. I would have like to have seen a few more wrinkles at least for entertainment's sake.

If they don't both change their game up, this will be an epic failure. Either you wanna win rings or personal accolades...I guess we'll know soon enough.

Harden needs a Bradley Beal/Klay, or an AD, but we’ve been getting him CP and Russ types...Russ is a hard fit because he can’t shoot and is basically useless off-ball except for the occasional cut, and Harden is better with the ball in his hands than Russ is...much better

Harden is however not useless off-ball unlike Russ because he can spot up and shoot, so it’s almost like we gotta give the ball to Russ more when they’re both on the court so Russ won’t be so useless

cp3 was a great compliment to harden. it's just unfortunate the rockets didn't get him about 2-3 years before he finally came lol

but that's been a common theme here. the rockets finally getting guys they wanted a couple years after the initial interest

Small steps. All I'm looking for is that nearly unstoppable go-to play involving both of them, and then we'll start seeing them gel. What that play is, I don't know. But they have to have a starting point. I'm still debating whether the offense should be initiated by Russ and go thru Harden, or vice versa, for majority of their time together on-court. If Harden initiates, there may be times it won't ever go through Russ. Russ has to find a role he can be elite in and the team's got to stick with it. I think they pinpointed that the answer is pushing the pace, but that hasn't been consistent through 4 quarters yet.

Anyone arguing James should play in a way that lets Russ control things is nuts.

This is why the fit was questionable. Russ needs to fit around harden. Russ isn't good enough for Harden to change and make the team worse.

Here’s we go again with this bullshit, 3 preseason games in too lmao.

WB so far has played like trash, Harden is a superstar, I’m glad Harden isn’t changing his game. WB needs to change his game to become efficient offball, or he can take his ass elsewhere.

This is preseason....too early for that assessment...got to see how they adjust when we start losing....

I think they are just working on different line ups, sets right now

Dallas offense would work so well with harden and Westbrook...it would require movement from harden off the ball though

Rockets were looking good in Japan. Now, one game when they were apparently jet lagged, now Harden is playing like Russ isn't there? In Japan Russ and Harden were doing a whole bunch of stuff off the ball.

Does Harden spot up when Russ has the ball or does he start walking back?
