With all of this generosity from everyone, I waiting for the offer to have a 19-week bye as we wait for our SuperBowl opponent to fly to Houston and play the game. Of course, I would take it!
There are certain things that have to occur for an NFL game to take place and if those things can occur then you can say READY. A few off the top of my head, 1) Logistics. Need all game personnel to be able to travel to city/stadium for event. This includes teams, officials, media, etc... 2) Lodging. Need hotel space available for visiting game personnel. 3) Security. Need security personnel available to perform their duties at any/all related operations related to game event. 4) Technical. Need working/available technical equipment and staff, ability to broadcast and transmit event. 5) Curfew. Cannot have game that could potentially violate curfew. As a day game, this should not be an issue. I'm sure there are many more and in more detail than I provided but if you can't do those things you can't host this game. And for a few I have doubts. 1) Hotels, I'm sure our hotels are full or close to full right now. Not sure if Jags reservation is/will be honored 2) Security, Not sure if any security folks can be taken away from their current rescue/recovery efforts. If those two are good we're probably hosting this game.
You need all those things to host baseball games too... and they're hosting 3 this weekend. Football should be fine for 9/10.
i agree and as i mentioned the only things i wasn't sure about were hotel space and if security folks would be available.
