That's exactly what it looked like on the play.

    This is terrible.

This has been a tough year for rooks. It sucks to see a young, blossoming scorer go down at a time when he is just trying to figure out the NBA game. Hope he recovers fully and quickly.

Does the NBA put too much pressure / workload on rookies to produce immediately? No matter how talented they are, they are just not accustomed to the grind of the NBA schedule and will break down more often than not...

The Eurostep is not meant for everybody to try and do.

I saw that too and thought he shouldn't have tried that. Man, it almost made me sick seeing his knee bend sideways like that. ::shudder::

Very unfortunate. I'm sure he'll be back playing full strength next year.

I wonder if there's a chance now that they might not make the playoffs this year to pry away Henson.

Just gives you an appreciation of how athletic Harden is. Eurostep for 90% of people is a sure-fire way of blowing your knee out.

These kinds of injuries are common at all levels of basketball. Randle broke his leg in the first seven minutes of his rookie season. Nerlens Noel tore his ACL in college. No doubt the NBA game puts a lot of pressure on the body, but it comes with the territory of being a professional athlete. My friend is a physical therapist and she says it's even worse for non-athletes, people who aren't in great shape but decide to take up a sport. They play on the weekend and are in the doctor's office by Monday.

They are some of the most explosive athletes in the world playing on a hardwood suface. Injuries are inevitable.

I swear I've seen more ACL tears in basketball in the last 4-5 years then any other decade.
