Maybe it's just years of mediocrity before this, but it takes some getting used to seeing the Rockets easily whup bottom and mid tier teams, while hanging with or beating the top teams. It's... refreshing to say the least.

yeah i'll never get used to blowing away lottery teams and competing against contenders and steamrolling low seed playoff teams. this is weird, like ryan anderson weird, like "what he's 6'10 and he cant get more than 5 rebounds in over 30min of playing time? weird" weird

I'm loving it. And to be honest, I'm loving every moment since Harden came to the team and always overachieved expectations (except last year that was just weird).

We were a top team two years ago. Stop being so dramatic.

Y'all can thank Leslie Alexander for putting Maury in his place and making the decision to hire Mike.

It is so weird that you actually want to see them lose because we are so used to mediocrity. LOL

Must be a function of expectations. 2014 team had more high end potential to me. I don't see how this team can beat the Spurs or Warriors.

I think a lot of you need a reality check. How have we steam rolled low seed playoff teams?
We are in for a very difficult first round that may have a very disappointing ending.
We are pretty much guaranteed to face either Memphis, Utah or OKC. Guess what? We have a losing record overall against those three.
If healthy, Memphis and Utah will both probably be much better at the end of the season than when we faced them. OKC, both games were not convincing on either side.

I'm not being a pessimist. I'm loving this season, its everything last year wasn't, but its not necessarily going to lead to any playoff success.

It feels great to not lose to inferior team on a semi regular basis.

I like how I can now look at the mediocre team match up and say easy win for rockets similar to how I look at Texans division rivals and say easy 6 wins.

No way, this is the team we should have when Adelman was fired - we took a side street with Kevin McHale and we chased the shiny object in the stream with Howard, finally we committed to an OFFENSIVE system and wallah, here we are......FINALLY.

Last night's Clippers game would have been different last year. Two starters out with injuries and the replacement PG gets tossed early along with the coach, when we were up by 20 or so? Recipe for disaster. The team at a disadvantage like that will always come back hard if you let them. Last year that would have been a demoralizing loss.
