If only the Rockets had a four year younger version of Melo; then this team would be an automatic 1-seed and championship team.

There would be no point of having a playoff; Adam Silver could practically hand the trophy to the team at the end of the regular season for being so great. Heck, the Rockets wouldn’t even need to play a regular season. They’d be so good on paper that the paper itself would spontaneously combust.

That was the one and only key to a championship formula. That was all the depth the Rockets needed: a slightly younger Melo. (With a much larger contract.)

My man Tuck cannot be playing 41 minutes. Bring Bruno's ass up from RGV. He can give us 10-15 minutes of running the floor, pnr, and I remember he likes the corner 3 too!

I fear they will now overplay our starters to get some wins and it will take toll later on. And when injuries would kick in we would hear 'bad luck' thing all over again

 

It's all about injuries to JH, CP and Tucker. CC also but that could be compensated with big games from the Big 2.

 

The thing is everyone you mentioned except Harden doesn't have a substitute, yet alone a quality one

 

You don't have a sub for every position you dolt.

CP3-Gordon-Harden play both the PG and the SG. They eat all 96 minutes of those spots, and even a little bit more.

You can't spend significant money backing up max contract players. Any money we spend needs to be at the forward spots.
