Seing a few posts trashing Ariza in transition. He was the 13th best player in the league for point per posession in transition of all players who played 42 games and had at least one posession per game from it. He wasn't really running to the rim, he hit a ton of pull up 3's. I definitely like what Ennis and MCW can bring with their pace, it will create more fast break opportunities and easy points. It's a new wrinkle in our game. But Ariza was great for us in transition last year.
I like Ennis. I've always appreciated high effort high energy players. The way he runs the floor adds another element to our attack that we haven't really had.
Ennis has a lot of energy but he isn't as fundamentally solid as Luc defensively. Luc seemed to never gamble and was always in the right place. However, I think Ennis can be better offensively so lets home that it ends up as a wash.
Yeah, such a waste of a $2.9M salary in today's NBA. "He isn't as good as a player making $10M more than he is..." LOL. He will be fine.
I agree with OP. I think Lebron James would have been better than Ennis. Is it time to consider tanking?

And Ennis will hopefully be healthier than Luc. Luc's a terrific defensive player, but if he's so bad at the other end of the floor because of a bum shoulder that D'Antoni has to go with Joe Johnson and Ryno instead of him in Game 7 of the WCF, it doesn't help the Rockets very much.
I think most of the role players are playing fine or better than expected. If anything is to concern me about the preseason it is Harden is no where near the player he was last year. He’s been awful and careless with the ball. Last year he did such a good job of keeping his turnovers down. Hopefully it’s just preseason and he’s not in full gear and he’s getting used to his teammates.
I don't see this as an indictment on Ennis, correct? Guy is playing well. It is more that Melo's supposedly game is still formidable.

Also, I think some ppl are confusing Gary Clark with Ennis. They appear similar on TV and wear #6 and #8, respectively. I know Bill Worrell has confused them.
I never said Ennis was having a slow start but these jokers think this crap all the time. Too early to even troll or boast. Preseason = do not get hurt and work out a few rotations and see who is 8-12 on the bench. If any thread should have been made after game 1 of the preseason it should have been why play James 30 minutes!?!
