Would rather have him on the floor than Ryan Anderson.

We are literally stacked at the PF and C positions now. We got Kyle Wiltjer, Ryan Anderson, Chianu Onuaku, Montrezl Harrell, Clint Capela, Zhou Qi, Cameron Oliver, and Isaiah Hartenstein(assuming he comes over this year)

Game doesn't remind me of DMo. He's bigger, longer, seems to have better lateral quickness, and is a better athlete, but not near the skill level of DMo.

DraftExpress had him as the #19 prospect in the draft, but he fell because doctors flagged his back.

I doubt if he will play a single game because of his bad back. A wasted pick.

I'd just love to be there for when DM, BJ and Hartenstein sit down to put together his contract...

"Hey BJ,did you ever tell the kid here the story about how you cost your client like 30M? We have our rights! LMAO - that was classic stuff! Anyway let's get this contract knocked out..."

Let me finish that conversation for you....

"...here's a minimum 2 year non-guaranteed contract. You've got a bad back kid. LOL...no BJ, you should know by now...no incentives."

It looks like his body is going to take time to develop and fill out. With most young guys if they can guard an nba position then they have a spot in the league because they are so young and you can teach them offense.

Playing smart defense helps, but sometimes its just not enough.

    Actually, Isaiah Hartenstein is African-American...

“Since he is not as black as most of the guys, he actually has to fight for it and say, ‘I actually am black,’ ” Florian Hartenstein said of his son. “More people think he is white. He is proud to be black. In Germany, there is some racial issues that have calmed down a lot. I don’t think it is as extreme as it is here in America.” http://theundefeated.com/features/isaiah-hartenstein-nba-draft-2017/

Like this pick, dude was a steal. If he's gets healthy I think he's easily a late lotto type talent.

His game looks like a mixture of Dmo and Asik to me.

He's already 250 at only 19 years old, he'll likely end up around Asik's size once he matures. He has Asik's vertical athleticism with his dunki/lob ability. Also like Asik, I think he will be a solid defensive player, he likely won't be a big time shot blocker but I think he'll be able to use his body and strength well. Said to be a sold offensive rebounder.

Like Dmo, he's left handed, has a decent set 3PT shot, can hit some mid range jumpers, has a softer touch around the basket(not anywhere close to Dmo's post skills though). Has some ball handling skills, a little more agile on his feet, and he's even said to have shown some decent passing vision.

Very intriguing mixture of tools and skill set. I'm not sure about his defensive rebounding yet, have to find some more stats.

I knew I detected trace amounts of melanin in him. His father looked like he had a DEEP tan. The sun doesn't shine in Germany.
