This thread is exclusively a thought experiment: (for feasible trade proposal only)

This is of course operating under the assumption that Rockets are willing to trade Tucker.
    thought experiment:
Rockets get Butler, Shumpert (get rid of Knight contract next summer, save at least $50 million next season)
Wolves get Gordon, Tucker and Buddy Hield,
Kings get Knight, Chriss and 2 future first picks and cash from Rockets, 2 future second picks from Wolves

salary-filler players or roster-filler player to one or two other teams.

Please do not respond if your answer is no.

There is a feasible thread your post could consider.

I think the Twolves would strongly consider an offer of @tinman, @basketballholic AND @SwoLy-D! More than that and we’re getting shafted!

    Yes, I know we’ll be without a 99er, a newsletter and a grammar-nazi, but we have to...

Who does the Butler think he is. Can't compare to the great Carmelo Antoni.

Would Sacramento be willing to take on an addition $41M in salary for a #27-#30 draft pick? Dieng and McLemore are similarly productive, with Dieng being the obvious better defender, but that's a HUGE amount to pay for a bit of defense on a team that can't possibly make the playoffs anyway.

Then again, the Kings don't make the playoffs EXACTLY because they make dumb deals. Who knows?

Does it make a ton of sense for the Kings? No, but they are not doing anything for the next few years and will probably need help getting to the salary floor after Shumpert, Randolph and Koufus are off of the books next season. Maybe they can pick up a 2nd from Minny in the deal as well. Maybe this allows the Kings to move Randolph or Koufus for a 2nd round pick. Ok that’s a big MAYBE, but you never know what’s going on in front offices. There are a lot of unknowns with all of this. I was mainly looking at it through Minny’s perspective and what they have been reported on wanting.

    HOU IN : Butler

    MIN IN: 2019 1st & 2021 1st (from HOU) + Salary Dump Player (buyout)

3RD TEAM OUT: Salary Dump Player

Is that allowed or similar allowed by NBA CBA rules?
