Is the relationship with Ryno salvageable if we attain Melo via buyout?

    Hypothetically.

Or is the bridge burned and he'll demand a trade regardless? :D

Hard to say. I don't know what he's like as a person. Will he be seriously hurt like Kevin Martin was?

If I was getting paid 20 million dollars a year I wouldn't care how many times my employer said he was going to transfer me to a different jobsite

If we get melo via buyout. Whether if we keep Ryno or trade him I see them both as wins.

I think Ryan will get pissed and start missing a ton of shots in the Toyota Center.

Hes not that type of guy. Id be more worried about him losing confidence then him being resentful or having an attitude.

The team would still be able to unite over the common goal of winning

Does Ryan Anderson still get to cash his paycheck? I think the relationship will be fine.

This could have been said about Kevin Martin, but it wasn't true.
This could be said about Carmelo Anthony now, but most believe it isn't true.

    Still gets paid 20M.

Last year, he averaged 13 and 6 and was basically a no show at home and in the playoffs.

I thought he would be a 17/8 guy this past year and would at least be decent in the playoffs.

If he was at least that, the Rockets probably would to keep him more or other teams would be more willing to take him on.

If NY buys out Melo odds are he lands with Cavs. But to answer your question, Ryno would love to get all those open looks and $20 from Houston.

Yeah if you are a professional athlete, you are high paid, and you aren't performing at a very high level, you have to assume your team will look to move you. Its the nature of professional sports.

That being said he's still a decent player that fits what we do... just overpaid.

And Houston is a cushiony role and home for him to play for another couple years if he can. Not sure why he'd be upset about the Rockets willingness to trade him for a star player.

I would say yes. He will be starting, and making a lot of money to play for a good team.

How TF he gonna demand a trade and no one wants him?

Wherever he ends up, his personal feelings better be a non-issue. 20 mil.
