So they finally morphed into one guy!!!

The Greens will be all over this one. I can see the quote now:

"Even the ad agencies can't tell them apart."

    LOL!!!!!

Although maybe the Gore Campaign was trying to get voters by showing off that awful Bush smirk. Perhaps the message is, "Vote Gore or This Guy Will Be The Most Powerful Man in the World."

    Update:

Confusing Bush-Gore billboard was publicity stunt

    Associated Press
    Oct. 23, 2000 17:00

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - A confusing billboard on Interstate 485 that featured presidential candidates George W. Bush and Al Gore was a publicity stunt, an ad agency said today.

The billboard featured a picture of Republican Bush and said "Gore 2000." By today, the billboard had a yellow banner promoting a job firm with the script: "Today's job ... proofreader."

Ad agency executive David Oakley pronounced himself pleased with the campaign, saying it was "part of a plan to create a stir about the billboard."

Gore's campaign wasn't so happy. "It's confusing to people," said Mack Paul, the state campaign manager. "We don't want to have our candidate's name and image confused with our opponent."

A Bush spokesman said the campaign didn't encourage the commercial use of the Texas governor's image, but doubted the billboard would have confused potential voters.

"Given Governor Bush's strong and growing lead in North Carolina, there's no confusion about Governor Bush's message," said Tucker Eskew, a spokesman in Austin, Texas.
