plus i think the pacer r trying to go over oneal but they have give just as much for mcgrady to get oneal and has to work capwise
Everyone needs to understand that all these media leaks are intentional. It's called negotiating through the media, though I've never seen such an extreme case. Nothing is written in stone. Personally, I'd go with RA over SF, and I think Orlando would too, but TM is probably telling the Magic that he doesn't want to play for the Pacers, so who knows.
this seriously needs to happen soon because i'm checking this board, espn.com and nba.com like 5 times an hour. i even wake up from sleeping, come check and then go back to sleep. AND I KNOW NOTHING IS GOING TO OFFICIALLY HAPPEN FOR QUITE SOME TIME! hahaha
I like the sound of that quote. "Consensus within the league" sounds like a lot of GMs feel that McGrady is on his way to Houston. And the fact that Orlando has not gotten back to Indy makes it look like Indy might be out of the running. It might be down to Houston and Phoenix with a few other teams trying to get into the bidding.
Donnie and Larry are managing the news for their benefit -- for their players and their fans. Plausible deniability, if you will. The article, like most others, is valueless.
I don't like the part about Shaq and TMac trying to work out deals so that they both play for the Mavs next year. Although it's highly unlikely because of Shaq's contract and the fact that Orlando probably wouldn't do it unless they got Dirk, but if it did happen I would probably cry.
IMO the only other team other than the rockets who has a legitimate shot at McGrady is Indiana. So if this article is accurate of the Pacers position, the rockets just took a giant leap forward in the McGrady sweepstakes.
why would McGrady want to go to a team where he'll be in a similar orlando type situation. Phoenix may have the best offer for the magic, but its not about them. It's what Tracy wants
Suns are much better - today - than is Orlando. He's tight, reportedly, with Amare. Suns' organization has always been first rate.
