Had to look up what kind of year he had because he had some moments in the playoffs. Pretty much why CHA got rid of him, he couldn't put the ball in the hole. A non-shooting SG, 28% 3pt shooter, 66% FT shooter. Defense was surprising as well, negative rating there with his offensive production not making up for his defense. Still in Indy he was a spark coming off the bench and a fan favorite.
I heard they were looking to target Marcus Smart on a podcast. But I think more realistically they are trying to open enough cap space to go after and steal Aaron Gordon. Fits a position of need going forward and provides youth and athleticism. Fits within the age group of their core.
