I would have loved to see Twisted Sister while they were still part of the NY club scene.

I saw The Cure last year. Obviously not in their prime, but the performance was spot on. Roberts Smith's voice has not changed.

As for the OP, The Clash is #1 for me.

I saw The Who in the 80's and they were still awesome but I would've loved to see them in the 70's with Keith Moon.

As others have said Queen in 1985 at Wembley

The Ramones in the late 70's

    REM in the early 80's.

Saw most that I wanted to and many listed . Here's sone that come to mind

    • Midnight Oil
    • XTC (Andy Partridge had stage fright so rarely played live
    • The Clash
    • David Bowie
    • Queen
    • Led Zeppelin
    • Beatles very young in a local dive
      • Lennon solo
      • Paul and Wings
(I agree with others, Beatles doesn't actually sound like a good show once the concerts got insane with bad audio)

Someone actually posted the vid of the moment Partridge walked off stage the first time

    Floyd, Zeppelin, Queen

I did see AiC recently, great show but would have loved seeing Layne live.

NIN and Depeche Mode both are still excellent live.

Ramones for sure. They are my favorite. Was lucky to see UGK back in 1997.

I've seen these but prime would be great - AC/DC, Green Day, Metallica, B-52s, ZZ top, The Police, KISS

Others that would have been fun, Sex Pistols, Elvis, James Brown, Beatles, Garth Brooks, Meatloaf, Rolling Stones, Queen, Stevie Ray Vaughn,

Michael Jackson 1984 Thriller tour, anyone?

It was actually The Victory Tour (The Jacksons tour) with Michael and the Jackson 5 featuring most songs from Thriller.
