When I heard that Capela said it, I didn't like it... I just prefer the team be humble. But honestly, this is more of a language issue. Capela really just wanted to say that if they play their game, they are confident they can beat them. The bluntness of the words came off as cockiness. It's funny to watch so much debate about it.

Seriously - he's a non native english speaker, a small change of verb tense & sentence structure turn it from a throwaway line to a week's worth of for the sports-industrial take complex.

    That made me laugh.

I think Capela should keep quiet and let the leaders of the team do the bold talking. His success is purely because Harden and CP3 spoon feed him so well.

The dude talking to Broussard took it more personal than Durant did.

You are just feeding the media to what they wanted: ratings.

All they do is lure players to ask potentially-conflicting-questions so they can share with rivals.
Do you really think any of the GSW players will even listen to what Capela said in a post game interview?

But SURE, some called reporters will ask Draymond or Curry if they heard what Capela said.

    They will say no.
Then the reporter will tell them
Then they are just going to say "oh, we will see when it is time".

Didn´t click the video, won´t click the video

I am more concerned with his focus in the games.

Not trying to derail but every time I see Broussard he gets whiter and whiter. I hope he's okay.

Sauces is correct on this for once. You should want your players to talk like Capela

That guy on the right is just another loud mouth with an agenda, he’s not serious. I am starting to respect Broussard, regardless of right wrong and what his opinion is, more often than not he presents it in a clear manner with solid arguments and knows his stuff.

The Warriors d*** sucking needs to stop.

You have to believe it. . .you have to walk it

If you scared of getting them hype .. . . then stay home .. . .
We imaging the Warriors will 'PLAY HARDER' . . and TRY TO WIN MORE??
It's the playoffs. . .if they need that to beat us . .. oh well

The Warriors are going to win the title this year, and likely for the next couple of years. Capela saying a post-game quote is going to have approximately 0.00000% chance of affecting that outcome.

Using the Chicago Bulls right before they run off 6 championships as your example of the Rockets, and then saying that Capela talking was like future HOF Scottie Pippen talking seems like an incredibly poor strategy for making a point. Is his suggestion that we are about to turn a corner and become an all-time dynasty (but supposedly can't take a single game off GSW)?

I had to reRead what he said:
    ----------------------------------------------------------
After the Houston Rockets defeated the Golden State Warriors on Saturday 116-108, center Clint Capela said he believes the Rockets are the better team, per Tim MacMahon of ESPN.com:

"We're confident because we know if we're doing what we're supposed to do, we're going to beat them. We've got to keep playing. We know that they're going to come back if we have the lead, and we've just got to keep that mindset. Sometimes I feel like, in the past, we were all dragging down after mistakes. But today, we were ready.

"I think that if we're doing what we're supposed to do on defense—all the switches, the weak side—and keep playing our offense by keeping that mentality all game long, we have the weapons to beat them. We are better than them."

"We're definitely the best in the league with everybody healthy," Capela continued. "We've definitely got a chance to get that one seed back. The thing is, of course, we're excited because it's the Warriors, but Monday is an important game, too. If we lose and the [Warriors] win their game, what was the point? The next game, every single time, is going to be the key to go get the No. 1, first seed."
    ----------------------------------------------------------

    What exactly was so horrible?
