The Oval Office tends to moderate candidates. I am not freaking out about Trump, like some here. I am more concerned with the policies that will be implemented by a Republican controlled Senate and House.

For example, if they repealed Obamacare, what are they going to do with the estimated 20M people that will be without insurance? Easier to talk stuff when you are not making the decision.

I wonder when it will finally hit him that being the president is a very hard job... always under the spotlight, very few days off, always being criticized.

Basically a thankless job that leaves you without any sort of breathing room. It may just deflate that ego enough to make him tolerable.

He may also be the first president who volunteers to be done after just one term.

Well of course Obama is outstanding, for an African. Impressed that he brought his reading level up all the way way past Trump's o_O

Yep, Trump is not going to dig 80-hour work weeks.

Trump controls the White House; the Republicans control Congress - I think it'd be a mistake to assume those are one and the same.

Welcome President Pence. It looks like Obama absolutely schooled him in that meeting, not about the policies, but about how much responsibility a President has on a day-to-day basis. I can imagine Trump asking Obama what a day in the life for him is like, and Obama starts running off his entire schedule, from morning briefings, to afternoon meetings, and to late nights thinking things over by himself. Obama touches on the magnitude of responsibility a president has, which eats at him every single waking moment. Oh yeah, not to mention the amount of intense scrutiny that he faces 24/7, people questioning every single one of his moves.

Trump did not know what he was getting himself into, no amount of CEO experience can prepare you for this. Being president is not a reward, it's a sacrifice. It's not about attending banquets and being adored in front of the camera, it's about making tough decisions every single day and facing real life consequences.

Trump is not prepared for this. Pence will be doing most of the dirty work.
