    Delete user, ban thread.

Does not deserve it's own thread.

    I'm serious.

in which case I think we need to start an online petition to have that thread unlocked. Can you imagine the shame and distress of not only having your first post ever not responded to for 18 years, but also to have it locked by a mod? I'm not sure hp the op could recover. I'm serious.

It's like someone found a picture of you smoking weed in a hippie outfit when you were 19 years old in the '60s and posted it on Twitter.

Harden should join the Warriors. That's what the league is about these days, players bandwagoning onto superteams for easy rings.

all i can say about this thread title, is yes, you are right, but there will be a lot more sinking than swimming. I'd say more accurately ..."treading water".

Gotta try to swim. If you want to build a team that compete with the warriors on paper, Its likely Harden wont be involved and we'd have to tank/rebuild for multiple years. Frankly, I don't want to wait that long. No way any team that hasn't already been in this process is going to have a comparable core in the next 2-3 years. Milwaukee and Phi are the only ones that could develop two top 10 players and then maybe add another top 25 guy somehow.... and GS is better than that right now, but they may not be in 2-3 years.

But we do have a guy ( who if you belive in him ) is a legit top 5 player and at worst top 10. He needs another top guy on the team and then for the team to be tooled around them to have any sort of chance. Our best hope is to try to tread water and develop young guys who could be all-stars or trade for them. But we need to be weary of raising the age of our squad too much. Hopefully we didn't already screw ourselves with the Anderson signing in this regard. If you are going to be a perennial 3-5 seed that's just as bad as a perennial 8th seed if you play in the same conference as the warriors.

So my answer would be tread, focus on youth movement, focus on building real chemistry ( not just shooters) on offense and D, and then evaluate the landscape again in 2-3 years and hit the reset button if needed. Morey might lose his job, but it would be the right thing to do to try and set Houston up for a chip.
