Honestly, I agree. **** that fake ass popularity award. Let's get a goddamned chip! I know people are saying "why not both?" But the fact is for ALL of our mental health's sake, we need to move on from this as a fanbase. We know in our hearts who the MVP is, and honestly so does anyone who isn't a total nephew. But a championship will literally shut EVERYBODY up.

And also, whether we worry about it or not (or post about it or not) really makes no difference on the outcome

I doubt they will flame out but it's worth noting Coach Bud doesn't have a great playoff record as a head coach. Of course he has never had the talent he now has but as the margin for errors gets slimmer and slimmer into the later playoff rounds it's DEFINITELY worth noting that most of the players and coaches on that squad have not been under that type of strain. Bud was of course on the bench with Pop during all those Spurs titles but again - this will be his first time as the head coach in a 7 game series against the very best coaches and players in a 7 game series. It shouldn't matter, yet it finds a way to impact most teams newly anointed as a contender.

Harden winning a championship would do far more for his legacy than winning an MVP while under-performing again in the playoffs, if that's what people voting for option 1 are valuing here.
